The 29th Young Adults Exhibition

Opening Reception with Poetry reading written and read by high school students and award ceremony: February 2, 6 - 8 P.M.
Hera Gallery is proud to present the 29th Young Adult Exhibition features High School students throughout the state, offering young artists a unique opportunity to present their original artwork to the community in a professional gallery setting. The exhibition includes drawings, paintings, sculpture, photographs, ceramics, and more from students of both public and private schools.
This year’s postcard features the winner of our postcard competition, Willow Johnson-Gabrielle for her piece titled Sweet Dreams, Mixed Media, 2018. The 2nd place winner is Amber Hunley, Fabric Study, from South Kingstown High School. The 3rd place winner is Julia Bollentin, Divisions, South Kingstown High School. The postcards are sent to hundreds of community members, artists, and art institutions. First, Second and Third Place winners will have their work featured on our Exhibition Flyer and entered into the Young Adults’ Exhibition. More award categories and winners will be announced at the opening. Natalie Coletta is the juror for the awards
Participating Schools: Exeter-West Greenwich High School, La Salle Academy, Lincoln High School, Rocky Hill School, and South Kingstown High School.
This exhibition will be on view at Hera Gallery until February 23rd, 2019
These programs are presented with partial support from The Rhode Island Senate Legislative Grant, The Rhode Island State Council of the Arts, The Champlin Foundation, The University of Rhode Island, and The ongoing Friends of Hera. Hera Gallery is free and open to the public and is accessible to persons with disabilities. Parking is available.
