Araya McKeon

Araya is a Thai-American illustrator based in Warwick, Rhode Island, whose work has been featured in group exhibitions at the Providence Art Club, Warwick Center of the Arts, and the URI Annual Juried Student Show. She has recently graduated from University of Rhode Island (URI) with a BFA in Studio Art and minor in Classical Studies. She works in a variety of media, including oil painting, digital works, ceramics, and recently riso prints.

STATEMENT
I tend to be drawn to those fleeting moments of everyday existence. I try my best to capture and make sense of them within my work, whether it be through my own fantastical or humorous lenses. The world is full of diverse and interesting experiences, I hope I can bring some joy through my own unique perspectives.
