Hera Gallery is thrilled to be hosting the "Draw-a-go-go Fundraising Rally" again this July 22, 2018.
If you are interested in participating, please email Hera Gallery here.
Part performance, part flash sale, the Draw-a-go-go fundraising drawing marathon is a fun and fast paced event putting Rhode Island artists under an hour deadline to create as much as art as they will. Each piece completed is immediately available for purchase at the price of $50, all donated to Hera Gallery.
The Rally's History
Hera Gallery hosted their first Draw-a-go-go Fundraiser Drawing Rally in 2017, bringing artists and art appreciators together for an exciting afternoon of creative learning, making and mingling. Over 200 visitors watched and asked questions as 55 artists smudged, colored, blended, painted and sewed, generously creating artwork in support of Hera. The art purchasers left with original, affordable, fresh-'off-the-press' works of art and the knowledge that their purchase helped Hera Gallery.
The Draw-a-go-go fundraising drawing marathon is now an annual tradition for Hera Gallery. It was established in Los Angeles by Outpost for Contemporary Art, now, the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, CA and conceived in 2001 by Southern Exposure, a San Francisco-based, artist-centered, not-for-profit. Hera Gallery is pleased to bring the concept to Rhode Island and the New England region.
