Marisa Squire

Marisa Squire is an artist from New York who received her BFA from the University of Rhode Island in 2022. In her senior year of college, she interned at Hera Gallery and helped to create the 2022 URI senior seminar show. In December of 2022, she was asked to be the assistant director of Hera Gallery, an opportunity she graciously accepted and was honored to undertake.

Ever since Marisa was a little girl, she has always had an interest in art. It started with drawing characters from her favorite tv shows like Baby Looney Tunes. As her love for art grew, she began to explore other mediums such as sculpture, photography, graphic design, and many more. Her more recent pieces explore mark-making, patterns, and textures. For future work, she will keep exploring different mediums and techniques to create compelling pieces.
